Mary Aldrich was born Sophia Aldrich in 1859 to Luther T. Aldrich and Christiann Howell in Cattaraugus County, New York. Mary converted to Roman Catholicism when she married Thomas Francis Barrett in 1879. Mary and Thomas had 8 children. They settled in Scranton, Lackawanna, Pennsylvania. Mary Aldrich Barrett died in 1937.
